Dear Friends of my Resin Dolls!
“how… LOVELY!” This is the sentence people say when looking at my dolls. I can hear the delight in their voices and I amhappy that the results ofmy work are so well received bymy collectors.So what wouldmakemore sense than selecting this word –“how LOVELY”– as the motto for one ofmy editions? But what was there first – themotto or the dolls? It is a fact that these two things always cross-fertilize. Creating a new doll is never only a mere artisanal process; there is always something mysterious, unfathomable attached to it. It is not only modelling a doll’s head, arms and legs. It is the idea for a very special child, a distinctive character that is emerging fromundermy hands.This creation with all its characteristics and individualism is the challenge I meet when I have to decide on hairstyle, clothing and accessories of my dolls. Everything has to perfectly fit to the particular doll. When looking at the pictures you will surely observe that this new Edition in Resin 2010 is something special and differs from my former collections. None of the seven resin dolls is the“child next-door”-type; each one could just as well be part ofmy Classic Line. I know that my collectors are also looking for the typical characteristics of an original Hildegard Günzel Doll in my Resin Editions.You and me,we just love these romantically idealised children who have been connected to my name for decades.
